The Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development has handed over seven laptops and one desktop computer to Sikongo Town Council in a bid to strengthen its operational capacity.

Sikongo Town Council Secretary, Dr. Shimwanga, officially received the equipment today in Lusaka.

The devices are expected to enhance efficiency across critical departments which include; the Cash for Work Program, the Audit Unit, and the Integrated Constituency Development Fund Management Information System (iCDFMIS).

The Council Secretary has appreciated the initiative by the Ministry, the huge support and noted that the new ICT tools will help strengthen and streamline data management and improve oversight of Constituency Development Fund (CDF) activities at the Local Authority.

She further stated that this move of empowering Local Authorities with digital resources, will enable the Council meet community needs with improved transparency and efficiency.
